78th Cannes Film Festival Begins

The 78th Cannes Film Festival kicked off on May 13 on the French Riviera. At the opening ceremony, Leonardo DiCaprio presented Robert De Niro with the honorary “Palme d’Or.” The festival program began with the comedy “Leave One Day” by director Amélie Bonnin. The jury, chaired by French actress Juliette Binoche, will announce the winner of the main competition on May 24. A total of 22 films are competing for the top prize.
