A new chapter in the history of Faena, the renowned luxury hotel group, is set to open in the heart of New York City. With a brand that has already gained popularity in Buenos Aires and Miami, Faena New York promises to bring a unique blend of artistic approach and tropical elegance to the city.
The hotel will be located at 500 West 18th Street, offering picturesque views of the famous High Line, in a building designed by the Bjarke Ingels Group. Guests will enjoy 120 stylish rooms and suites, as well as the luxurious Tierra Santa Healing House. For food enthusiasts and nightlife lovers, a variety of dining establishments and entertainment programs will be available.
Co-founder Alan Faena, who established the brand in 2000 alongside businessman Len Blavatnik, emphasizes that New York has always been a center of creativity and innovation. He believes that Faena New York will not only preserve this spirit but also add its own magic, enriching the cultural legacy of the city.
The opening of Faena New York will mark a significant milestone, celebrating 20 years since the debut of the first Faena hotel in Buenos Aires and 10 years since the launch of Faena Miami Beach. Each property in the network aims to create a space where art and culture intertwine, inspiring both travelers and locals.
François-Olivier Luiggi will serve as the general manager of Faena New York, bringing over 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry. He has held key positions at prestigious hotels such as The Mark and The Carlyle, and has actively participated in the launch of 19 Four Seasons hotels worldwide.
Faena is known for its unique art installations, such as Damien Hirst’s 24-karat gold sculpture “Gone But Not Forgotten” in Miami and works by Argentine artist León Ferrari in Buenos Aires. Each Faena property combines Art Deco elements with playful and whimsical details, creating an atmosphere that evokes emotions and inspiration.
With the opening of Faena New York, the group continues its ambitions in high-quality lifestyle living, offering a unique experience that unites art, culture, and luxury. In collaboration with Len Blavatnik, Faena aims to create a space that will not only be a place to stay but also an integral part of New York’s cultural landscape.
