The first day of the Forum unfolded with captivating experiences and activations at the InterContinental Ras Al Khaimah. From news reporting with Richard Quest to the creation of a global citizen anthem led by Dany Neville, guests immersed themselves in transformative experiences. The day featured the inspiring story of Yusra Mardini and a beachside session with Marisa Peer, setting the stage for a remarkable Day 2 filled with panel discussions from global creative minds and changemakers.
Global Citizen Forum attendees engaged in exclusive experiences, including a YPO reception, a private beachside screening of the film “The Swimmers,” and an intimate Q&A session with Yusra Mardini. Renowned photographer and philanthropist Bobby Sager shared his two-decade journey of supporting vulnerable communities, weaving a narrative of inspiration and dedication that set the tone for the transformative experience at #GCF2023.
The exhibitions during the event featured powerful showcases such as “Being Human” by Bobby Sager, shedding light on the struggles of child soldiers and refugees. Natalia Kapchuk’s “At Art Lost Planet” juxtaposed the world’s beauty with the destructive forces of human activity. The impactful experiences included the “Refugee experience” with Yusra Mardini, a poetry workshop, a powerful news report on climate migrants by Richard Quest, and immersive VR sessions highlighting vulnerable communities.
Global Citizen Forum 2023 showcased a rich cultural program, from the performance of “Whispers of a Vanished Forest,” exploring biodiversity and the heritage of the pearling village on the Red Island.
