Hypersonic Jet Could Slash Flight Time Between New York and London to Just 1 Hour

The hypersonic jet being developed by Venus Aerospace, a Texas-based company, could transport passengers from New York to London in under an hour. This project, named “Stargazer,” will operate at speeds of around six times the speed of sound and will be capable of flying at significantly higher altitudes.

The nearly 3,500-mile journey from New York to London typically takes about seven hours. While other high-speed aircraft have already reduced travel time, none have achieved such impressive results.

The “Stargazer” will be approximately three times faster than the legendary Concorde and five times faster than NASA’s aircraft nicknamed the “Son of Concorde.”
