Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump, who has already declared his victory in the elections, announced his plans to put an end to wars around the world.
According to Sky News, Trump made this statement during his nighttime speech before supporters.
He noted, “They said I would start a war. In reality, I am not going to start wars; I intend to stop them.”
Trump emphasized that during his presidency, “there were no wars.” “For four years, we did not engage in wars, except for defeating ISIS in record time,” he added.
He also touched upon the assassination attempt on his life in Pennsylvania in July, noting that “God saved” him for a reason.
Context:
Trump has repeatedly claimed that he could end the war in Ukraine within 24 hours of being elected for a second term. He described how he plans to do this: “I would tell Zelensky: ‘Enough, you need to reach an agreement.’ And to Putin, I would say that if he doesn’t agree, we will provide Ukraine with much more aid than it has ever received. I will reach an agreement in one day.”
According to information from The Washington Post, Trump allegedly aims to push Ukraine towards concessions to Russia, including the transfer of Crimea and Donbas. However, his campaign advisor Jason Miller denied these claims, calling them false.
