MIAMI, June 4, 2026 — FIFA has officially announced the launch of FIFA Foundation USA, a new charitable platform dedicated to advancing social and educational initiatives through football across the United States. The organization’s first project was the unveiling of a refurbished soccer field at KIPP Miami Public Schools, delivered in partnership with the Gumball 3000 Foundation and the FIFA World Cup 26™️ Miami Host Committee.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony took place at KIPP Miami’s North Campus in Miami-Dade County. The project includes significant upgrades to the sports facility, featuring new spectator seating, a modern scoreboard, and additional improvements designed to create a safe, welcoming, and accessible environment for students and local residents.

The renovated field will serve more than 1,200 students from KIPP Royalty Academy and KIPP Courage Academy, supporting physical education classes, football training sessions, after-school programs, youth development initiatives, and community events throughout the year.

FIFA President Gianni Infantino described the launch of FIFA Foundation USA as an important step toward building a lasting football legacy in the United States.

“Today, we are not only celebrating the launch of FIFA Foundation USA, but also opening a space that will inspire the next generation of athletes and leaders. Football has the power to unite people, build character, and create opportunities for young people regardless of their background. This field will become a place where dreams are nurtured and future success stories begin,” said Infantino.

Charlie Schmidt, Executive Director of KIPP Miami Public Schools, emphasized the project’s importance for the educational community.

“This investment goes far beyond sport. We now have a facility that will help our students develop leadership skills, confidence, and teamwork both on and off the field. Partnerships like this demonstrate what can be achieved when organizations come together to support young people,” Schmidt said.

Funding for the project was provided by the Gumball 3000 Foundation, the charitable arm of the internationally recognized Gumball 3000 brand. Founder Maximillion Cooper highlighted the role of sport as a catalyst for positive social change.

According to Alina Hudak, President and CEO of the FIFA World Cup 26™️ Miami Host Committee, the initiative reflects the organizers’ commitment to creating a meaningful legacy that will benefit local communities long after the tournament concludes.

“Preparing for the FIFA World Cup is about more than hosting world-class matches. It is about creating opportunities for local residents and investing in projects that will deliver lasting benefits for generations to come. This refurbished field is a powerful example of that commitment,” Hudak said.

The launch of FIFA Foundation USA underscores FIFA’s commitment to using football not only as a sport, but also as a powerful tool for social impact, education, and community development. As anticipation builds for FIFA World Cup 26™️, initiatives like this are helping to create a lasting and meaningful legacy throughout the United State.
